SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Bowen Coking Coal Ltd (ASX:BCB), one of Queensland’s newest coking coal producers, has announced the appointment of Mr Daryl Edwards as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
Daryl Edwards, who has been the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since October 2020, will replace Mr Mark Ruston, who resigned to pursue other interests.
Mr Edwards has over 25 years of experience in the mining and finance sectors, and has played a key role in securing the funding and operational efficiency for Bowen’s low-cost Burton complex. He has also held executive positions at Pioneer Coal, Universal Coal, and Asenjo Energy.
Executive Chairman Nick Jorss praised Mr Edwards for his expertise and motivation, and thanked Mr Ruston for his leadership and contributions during a challenging period for the Company. He said that Mr Edwards is ideally positioned to drive Bowen to the next stage as a significant and profitable independent Queensland coal producer.
