OpenAI, a leading artificial intelligence research company, has announced its first partnership with a higher education institution, Arizona State University (ASU).
ASU will have full access to ChatGPT Enterprise, a business tier of OpenAI’s AI chatbot that includes access to GPT-4, the latest version of its natural language generation model.
ASU plans to use ChatGPT Enterprise for various purposes, such as building a personalized AI tutor for students, developing AI avatars for creative learning, and conducting research on prompt engineering.
The partnership aims to enhance ASU’s educational and research capabilities with state-of-the-art AI tools, while ensuring student privacy and intellectual property protection.
The deal comes amid controversy over the use of AI chatbots in education, as some school districts have banned them due to cheating concerns.
