LIMOGES: Legrand SA has acquired Girtz Industries, a Monticello, Indiana-based maker of modular power integration systems, the company announced Wednesday.
Girtz designs customized modular power units, known as Power Pods, and provides testing and technical services primarily for datacenter operators.
The company also serves industrial, infrastructure and commercial customers requiring backup or primary behind-the-meter power solutions. It employs roughly 300 people and generates nearly $80 million in annual revenue.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal is the sixth acquisition Legrand has completed since Jan. 1, with all six targeting energy transition and datacenter opportunities. Together, the six acquisitions represent nearly 440 million euros in additional annual revenue.
“Girtz Industries strengthens our position in the United States at the crossroads of two major trends: the unprecedented growth in power demand, which is reshaping the energy landscape, and the emergence of new datacenter architectures that require high-density, energy-efficient and increasingly decentralized power solutions,” Chief Executive Benoît Coquart said in a statement.
Legrand, listed on Euronext Paris and a component of the CAC 40 index, reported sales of 9.5 billion euros in 2025. The Paris-based company specializes in electrical and digital building infrastructure for residential, commercial and datacenter markets.
