PERTH: Lynas Rare Earths Ltd announced Tuesday that Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Amanda Lacaze will retire after 12 years leading the company.
Lacaze, who took the helm in 2014, guided Lynas from a struggling startup to an ASX50-listed rare earths producer with a market value that grew from about $400 million to nearly $15 billion. She will remain in her role until the end of the current financial year to ensure a smooth transition.
“It has been a great privilege to lead the company from a troubled startup to an ASX50 company,” Lacaze said in a statement. “Having successfully concluded the Lynas 2025 capital investment program and launched the Towards 2030 growth strategy, it is the right time to make this transition.”
Board Chair John Humphrey praised Lacaze’s leadership, noting her “hard work, drive and tenacity” in transforming Lynas into a critical supplier for global manufacturing supply chains. The board has begun a search process to identify her successor, considering both internal and external candidates.
