VILLERS-LÈS-NANCY: European healthcare technology group Equasens said on Monday it had acquired a controlling 80% stake in French digital training company Erevo, expanding its service portfolio in the fast-growing market for continuing medical education.

The acquisition, funded through bank financing, is expected to generate revenue of about 7.4 million euros for Erevo in 2025, with profitability in line with the Equasens Group’s performance, the company said in a statement.

Erevo, founded in 2018 and based in Marseille, provides accredited online courses and virtual classrooms for nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals. Its programs are funded through France’s main continuing education financing bodies.

The deal aims to create significant synergies by combining Erevo’s training programs for physicians and allied health professionals with Equasens’ existing Atoopharm training unit for pharmacists. Equasens said it plans to leverage its client base and cloud infrastructure to scale Erevo’s offerings and develop new AI-driven features.

“With Erevo, we are strengthening our positioning in the high-growth continuing education market,” said Equasens Chief Executive Denis Supplisson. “This transaction enables us to support an even broader base of healthcare professionals as their professions evolve.”

Erevo co-founders, including CEO Fabien Haddad, said joining Equasens would accelerate the rollout of their digital training solutions.

The transaction includes a call option on the remaining 20% of Erevo, with the option value linked to future performance. Completion remains subject to customary closing conditions, with full consolidation into Equasens’ accounts expected from Dec. 31, 2025.

Equasens, listed on Euronext Paris, provides software, hardware and data solutions to healthcare professionals across Europe.
