Pattern Group acquires TikTok shop agency NextWave to expand social commerce leadership

LEHI — Pattern Group Inc. (Nasdaq: PTRN), a global ecommerce acceleration platform, announced Thursday its acquisition of NextWave, a leading TikTok commerce agency. The move significantly expands Pattern’s capabilities in creator-led social commerce and TikTok Shop operations.

The acquisition aims to help brands reach new customers as TikTok Shop experiences rapid growth. NextWave brings its status as a TikTok Shop Partner and Creator Affiliate Partner, a network of over 1,200 managed creators and access to more than 300,000 affiliates on the platform.

“We are excited to welcome Grace Yang and the NextWave team to Pattern,” said Dave Wright, co-founder and CEO of Pattern. “NextWave has built one of the most effective TikTok Shop and creator-commerce organizations in the industry.”

He said combining NextWave’s expertise with Pattern’s technology platform positions the company as a leading force in social selling.

Founded in 2022 by CEO Grace Yang and headquartered in Los Angeles, NextWave specializes in creator management, content production and end-to-end TikTok Shop growth.

“NextWave was built to help brands win in the new era of social commerce,” Yang said. “Joining Pattern allows us to scale what we do best.”

The combined company will offer brands integrated services across TikTok Shop, Amazon, Walmart and more than 60 other global marketplaces, unifying creator-led demand with marketplace performance.

Pattern leverages proprietary artificial intelligence and data to optimize ecommerce growth for hundreds of global brands.
