MINNEAPOLIS: Datasite, a global SaaS provider of AI-powered workflow collaboration and automation solutions for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment, and strategic projects, has acquired Blueflame AI, a leading developer of agentic AI solutions for financial services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks a strategic move by Datasite to deepen its capabilities in automating complex workflows and surfacing actionable insights for dealmakers. Blueflame AI’s platform, founded in 2023 by Raj Bakhru and Henry Lindemann, integrates advanced reasoning models with secure data connections across internal systems, proprietary datasets, and public sources.
“This acquisition continues Datasite’s mission to improve the velocity and outcomes of our clients’ projects,” said Rusty Wiley, CEO and President of Datasite. “Blueflame’s agentic AI solutions will expand the collective capacity of our user base, automating complex workflows and enabling full scope analysis.”
Raj Bakhru, CEO and Co-Founder of Blueflame, added, “Datasite and Grata have unique data to feed into Blueflame’s purpose-built agentic AI solution. We’re excited to transform dealmakers’ ability to surface what matters and automate the repeatable to help get more deals done, faster, and better.”
The deal follows a $500 million investment commitment from CapVest Partners LLP, Datasite’s controlling shareholder, aimed at expanding the company’s intelligence solutions both organically and through acquisitions.
“The ability to consolidate and interrogate all internal and external datasets with a secure, single point solution is extremely powerful,” said Andrew Bocskocsky, Co-Founder of Grata. “Workflows that are currently measured in weeks will soon be measured in minutes.”
Blueflame will join Datasite’s Intelligence Unit and continue to be led by Bakhru. Advisors on the transaction included William Blair (M&A), Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP (legal), KPMG (tax), West Monroe (technology), and Lockton (insurance) for Datasite. Blueflame was advised by Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
