COPENHAGEN: Danish plumbing and heating supplier Brødrene A & O Johansen A/S announced Monday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the domain VVS-eksperten.dk, a prominent online platform for plumbing and heating products. The transfer of ownership is set to take effect on Jan. 1, 2026.
The acquisition bolsters AO’s presence in Denmark’s e-commerce market, complementing its existing digital platform. VVS-eksperten.dk has built a reputation as a go-to resource for private consumers seeking plumbing and heating articles at competitive prices.
“This move aligns with our strategy to strengthen our position as the leading online provider within DIY home improvement in Denmark,” said AO CEO Niels A. Johansen. “VVS-eksperten.dk has a strong brand and customer base that will complement our existing e-commerce activities.”
The agreement does not include the company VVS-eksperten A/S or its 27 brick-and-mortar stores, which will undergo a name change following the transaction.
CEO Allan Elgaard expressed optimism about the transition, stating, “I’m glad that VVS-eksperten.dk will continue to live as a brand and webshop after we close our 27 stores. AO has proven through their other webshops that they provide excellent customer service, and VVS-eksperten’s customers will benefit from that.”
AO’s portfolio of e-commerce domains includes BilligVVS.dk, Greenline.dk and Lampeguru.dk. The company expects the integration of VVS-eksperten.dk to enhance its digital offerings and customer experience.
