T2S Solutions, a provider of advanced technologies supporting U.S. defense and national security missions, announced Wednesday its acquisition of Blue Marble Communications, a company specializing in space-qualified communications and computing technologies.

Blue Marble, founded in 2017 and based in San Diego, has become a critical player in the growing demand for satellite and spaceflight technology. Its products, including onboard processors, optical terminals, RF modems, and network routers, serve both U.S. National Security and global commercial space markets.

The acquisition enables T2S, backed by Chicago-based private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners, to expand its capabilities in key areas such as Joint All-Domain Command and Control, Cybersecurity, and Lunar technologies.

“This partnership is a testament to our team’s accomplishments,” Neal Nicholson, CEO of Blue Marble, said in a statement. “With T2S and MDP’s support, we look forward to scaling operations and advancing innovation for our customers.”

T2S co-founder and CEO Tim Gay said the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to grow as a leader in space and mission-critical technology. “Blue Marble’s reputation and customer relationships make it an ideal partner as we push the boundaries of space missions,” Gay said.

Financial advisors for the deal included Kroll Securities and Jefferies, with legal counsel provided by Procopio, Alston & Bird, and Crowell & Moring.
