Pioneer Lithium names Michael Beven as CEO

SYDNEY: Pioneer Lithium Limited (ASX: PLN) has appointed Michael Beven as its new Chief Executive Officer, the company announced Wednesday. Beven, an exploration geologist with over a decade of experience, will assume the role immediately.

Beven’s extensive background spans uranium, rare earths, lithium, gold, copper, and titanium projects across Australia, Brazil, and Canada. His appointment comes as Pioneer aims to advance its newly acquired Skull Creek Uranium Project in Colorado and Warmbad Uranium Project in Namibia.

“We are delighted to welcome Michael to Pioneer,” said Robert Martin, who will transition from Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman. “His strong technical credentials and hands-on exploration expertise make him the ideal candidate to drive our projects forward.”

Beven, a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, holds a Bachelor of Mineral Geoscience from the University of Adelaide. His previous roles include Senior Project Geologist at Petratherm Ltd, Marmota Ltd, and Core Exploration Ltd.

“I am excited to join the team at Pioneer and look forward to progressing the company’s project portfolio,” Beven said. “Both the Warmbad and Skull Creek Projects have significant potential for further discovery.”

The strategic leadership change aligns with Pioneer’s focus on operational execution and exploration growth under Beven’s guidance.
