Bluebird Network, a leading provider of fiber and data center solutions in the Midwest, has announced the appointment of Jason W. Adkins as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 18, 2024. Adkins replaces Michael Morey, who will retire after 12 years of leading Bluebird.

Adkins brings 29 years of experience in the fiber industry, having served as CEO of Unite Private Networks and held senior positions at Windstream, KDL, Level 3, TelCove, Conterra, and KMC. He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and Economics from James Madison and an MBA from Radford University.

Adkins says he is excited to lead the talented and dedicated team at Bluebird, which boasts a 100% fiber optic backbone, diverse mission critical data centers, and a strong reputation for customer service. He says he looks forward to bringing world class connectivity to businesses and carriers throughout the Midwest.

Morey says he is proud of the growth and achievements of Bluebird under his leadership, and he is confident that Adkins is the right person to continue the success of the company. He says he has enjoyed his 12 years at Bluebird and wishes Adkins and the team all the best.
