Dubai Taxi doubles its airport fleet with 350 new eco-friendly vehicles

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has added 350 new environmentally friendly taxis to its airport service, doubling its capacity to meet the growing demand of passengers and visitors in the emirate. The expansion is part of DTC’s strategy to enhance its operational efficiency, market share, and customer satisfaction.

The airport taxi service is exclusively for arrivals at Dubai Airports and Port Rashid, offering round-the-clock transportation to any destination within the UAE. The service is supported by qualified staff who assist passengers in reaching their desired locations.

With the new taxis, Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) now has a fleet of 5,566 vehicles and a market share of 45% in the taxi sector, making it one of the largest operators in the region. The company also offers a variety of vehicles, including luxurious limousines and electric vehicles, at Dubai airports. All vehicles are regulated and monitored by DTC’s control centers, ensuring the safety and efficiency of transportation operations.

Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), said that the decision to double the fleet of airport taxis from 350 to 700 aims to promote the taxi services at the airport, increase trips by 30%, reduce waiting times, and provide quicker services to passengers. He added that the expansion reflects Dubai’s sophisticated and civilized image, its commitment to improving and developing its services, and its global reputation as a premier tourist destination.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, stated that the expansion is in line with the increasing growth of Dubai International Airport, which is expected to reach about 88 million passengers in 2024. He praised DTC’s efforts in delivering distinguished transport services that align with the highest international standards.

DTC delivers a wide range of mobility solutions, spanning across four main business sectors: expansive and eco-friendly taxi fleet, VIP limousine services, comprehensive bus services, and corporate delivery service.
