Reckitt Chair Chris Sinclair will retire and step down

LONDON, UK: Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (Reckitt), a leading consumer health and hygiene company, has announced that its Chair, Chris Sinclair, will retire and step down from the Board after completing his full nine-year term.

Sinclair will be succeeded by Sir Jeremy Darroch, the current Senior Independent Non-Executive Director, at the end of the Company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2024.

Sinclair has served as Chair for the last six years, overseeing significant transformation of Reckitt, including the introduction of its Purpose, navigating the Covid pandemic, and strengthening the governance and oversight of the Board. The Board expressed its gratitude and appreciation for Sinclair’s extraordinary contribution and leadership.

Darroch joined the Board in November 2022 and has extensive experience in leading consumer retail companies, such as Sky, DSG International, and Procter and Gamble. He also has a passion for responsible and sustainable business and a track record of shareholder value creation. Darroch said he was delighted to succeed Sinclair as Chair and looked forward to leading Reckitt, a world-class company with an exceptional portfolio of market-leading brands.

Sinclair said he was pleased to hand over to Darroch, who he described as an outstanding leader and the ideal appointment for Reckitt. He also reflected on his fulfilling time with Reckitt and its unique culture.
