Mendel, a leader in clinical artificial intelligence technology, has announced the launch of Hypercube, a new platform that allows life sciences and healthcare enterprises to access and analyze their patient data using natural language.
Hypercube enables users to ask questions in plain English and get fast and accurate answers from both structured and unstructured data sources. Hypercube also offers advanced features for data scientists, such as query visualization and programmatic access.
Hypercube is powered by a proprietary hybrid approach that combines large language modeling with symbolic AI. This approach enables Hypercube to understand the nuances of clinical language and avoid the errors or inaccuracies that plague other AI solutions. Hypercube can handle complex cohort analysis and answer previously unanswerable questions, opening up new possibilities for data-driven insights and decision making.

To validate Hypercube’s technology, Mendel has partnered with a team of oncologists at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. They have compared Hypercube’s performance with other large language models, such as GPT-4 and Llama2-7b, in tasks such as identifying patients who are eligible for clinical trials. The results show that Hypercube outperforms generic models and can scale up to handle large volumes of data.
