Faraday Future appoints Matthias Aydt as new Global CEO

Faraday Future, a California-based electric mobility company, has announced that Matthias Aydt, a long term FF executive, will take over as the new Global CEO of the company, effective September 29, 2023. Aydt will replace Xuefeng Chen, who will resume his previous role as FF China CEO and also become FF’s EVP of Global Industrialization.

Aydt has been with FF for over seven years and has led various teams in product execution, definition, and development. He has over 40 years of experience in the luxury car industry and has received over 15 patents. He will focus on boosting the production and deliveries of FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance, the company’s flagship electric vehicle.

Chen, who was appointed Global CEO in July 2021, will shift his attention to the launch of FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance in China and the development of next-generation products. He will also work on establishing FF China joint venture, accessing China automotive market, integrating the China supply chain, and reducing costs.

The company thanked Chen for his contributions as Global CEO and launching the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance in the U.S. The company also recognized his continued dedication as a member of the Board and as he moves on to his new role.
