Air Arabia to Connect Sharjah and Bangkok with Low-Cost Direct Flights

Air Arabia, a budget airline based in the United Arab Emirates, has announced its plans to launch daily flights between Sharjah International Airport and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport starting from June 30th.

This marks the airline’s entry into the Thai market and adds to its network of more than 170 destinations.

The route will be serviced by Airbus A321LR aircraft, with a flight time of 6 hours and 25 minutes. Air Arabia’s A321neos can accommodate up to 215 passengers in a single economy class configuration. Flight G9901 will depart Sharjah at 10:25 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 7:50 am. The return service, G9902, will depart Bangkok at 9:00 am and arrive back in Sharjah at 12:25 pm.

Although no airline currently operates direct flights between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Sharjah International Airport, nonstop routes are available between Bangkok and other airports in or near Dubai.

Emirates operates four daily flights between Dubai International Airport and Bangkok, while Etihad Airways operates daily flights to Bangkok from nearby Abu Dhabi International Airport. Both airlines offer multi-class configurations.

Air Arabia faces some competition for passengers from Etihad and Emirates on this route, but it is the only low-cost airline offering direct flights between the UAE and Thailand.

The airline expects to attract travelers who prioritize affordability over a more premium product.

Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, stated, “This exciting addition to our route network from Sharjah International Airport reaffirms our unwavering commitment to continuously provide our customers with new options of affordable air travel.”
