LONDON, UK: Proton Motor Power Systems, the designer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems, has received an order from Shell Deutschland Oil for two “HyShelter® 240” containerised hydrogen fuel cell hybrid systems. The hydrogen-based power plant is suitable for off-grid installations where there is no or insufficient infrastructure, and as a replacement for large battery banks or diesel generators for emergency power supply in critical facilities. The new system is expected to be delivered to Shell in 2024, with the majority of the revenue being recorded in that year.
