RESTON – TekSynap Corporation, a provider of IT solutions to U.S. national security agencies, said on Wednesday it has acquired JBA, Inc., a technology engineering firm with a 20-year history of supporting the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The deal enhances TekSynap’s capabilities in IT service management, network engineering, and cyber operations, specifically strengthening its position on key FBI programs. It expands TekSynap’s physical footprint to critical FBI locations, including facilities in Quantico, Virginia, Clarksburg, West Virginia, and the growing technology campus at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama.
“JBA’s trusted service with the FBI and its proven expertise in IT solutions further expand our capabilities and deepen our customer relationships,” said Troy Walter, Vice President, Justice at TekSynap.
The acquisition comes as the FBI is consolidating its IT services under the ITSSS-2 Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). TekSynap stated that the combined company is positioned to meet this demand with a ready, cleared, and compliant workforce.
Kamran Jinnah, Chief Executive Officer of TekSynap, emphasized the strategic fit, stating, “With JBA’s proven track record supporting the FBI, we are now uniquely positioned to accelerate the secure delivery of classified systems, extending capabilities seamlessly from the data center to the tactical edge.”
TekSynap manages programs in over 50 locations with a Top Secret facility clearance and a workforce of more than 1,200 cleared professionals. JBA, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of TekSynap, is headquartered in Springfield, Virginia, and holds several ISO certifications for quality and security.
