Bytes Technology Group has acquired CyberOne, UK cyber security services provider

LONDON: Bytes Technology Group plc, one of the UK’s leading software, security, AI and cloud services specialists, announced the acquisition of CyberOne Limited, a leading UK cyber security services provider.

CyberOne provides AI-enabled managed security services, security operations, cyber resilience consulting and professional services to a broad base of enterprise and mid-market customers. The business has established a strong position within the Microsoft security ecosystem, including recognition as a Microsoft Security Elite Partner and membership of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association.

CyberOne’s expertise strengthens BTG’s capabilities across the cyber security lifecycle. Its Microsoft-focused platform, proprietary services and specialist expertise complement BTG’s existing strengths and are expected to support deeper customer relationships and increased service-led revenue opportunities across the combined customer base.

CyberOne was established in 2005 and operates in the UK cyber security services market, which is expected to continue double-digit growth, reaching c.£5.2 billion by 2029. The business is headquartered in London, with over 80 employees across the UK and the Philippines. CyberOne delivered high double-digit revenue growth in the 12 months ended 31 July 2026, generating revenue of £9.5 million alongside expanding gross profit margins.

The initial acquisition consideration of £19.4 million has been funded entirely from existing cash resources, with further contingent cash payments over the next 16 months depending on performance. Completion is subject to clearance under the UK’s National Security and Investment Act 2021, which is expected to be received shortly.

The Acquisition represents a targeted investment in line with BTG’s strategy and capital allocation framework, and is expected to be earnings-enhancing in the first full financial year of ownership. CyberOne’s leadership team will join BTG and, initially, continue to operate the business as a standalone unit, working closely with BTG’s sales teams.

Sam Mudd, BTG Chief Executive Officer, commented: “CyberOne is a strong strategic fit for BTG, enhancing our capabilities in a rapidly growing technology segment and supporting growing customer demand for cyber security services. The Acquisition combines a proven managed security platform and a growing base of high-margin recurring revenue with BTG’s existing scale and customer reach. We are delighted to welcome the CyberOne team to BTG and look forward to combining our complementary strengths to deliver greater value for customers and shareholders.”

Dominic List, CyberOne Chief Executive Officer and Founder, added: “CyberOne was founded with the clear purpose of helping organisations move from cyber risk to measurable resilience. Our team has built deep Microsoft Security expertise, trusted customer relationships and a service culture focused on outcomes, not simply technology. Joining BTG gives us the scale and reach to take that expertise to more organisations while protecting the specialist focus, responsiveness and customer commitment. Together, we can help customers adopt AI securely, operate with confidence and gain more value from their Microsoft investments. We are excited about what our teams can achieve together.”

Nick Hedderman, Microsoft UK & Ireland Channel Lead, commented: “We are thrilled to see CyberOne join the Bytes Technology Group family. As AI reshapes every organisation, customers increasingly rely on trusted partners to guide their transformation journeys. Bytes has earned its reputation as one of Microsoft’s most trusted partners in the UK and Ireland, and we are excited about the opportunities the acquisition of one of our most accredited Cyber Security partners will create for our shared customers.”
