Consertus Inc acquires California infrastructure engineering firm S2 Engineering

MIAMI: Consertus, Inc., a portfolio company of RTC Partners, announced Thursday the acquisition of S2 Engineering, a Rancho Cucamonga, California-based provider of construction management, inspection, engineering and materials testing services for public infrastructure projects throughout the state.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

For more than 25 years, S2 has partnered with transportation agencies and public sector clients across California, delivering construction oversight, field inspection, engineering support and quality assurance services on complex infrastructure programs. The firm has built a reputation for technical excellence, reliability and client service on some of California’s most significant transportation investments.

The acquisition strengthens Consertus’ presence in one of the nation’s largest infrastructure markets and expands its capabilities in transportation and public works. Together, the companies are positioned to provide broader support for agency-funded capital programs, helping clients deliver projects from planning through construction close-out.

“S2 has built an outstanding reputation through decades of exceptional project delivery and trusted client relationships,” said Roy Block, CEO of Consertus. “Their strong presence in California, technical expertise and longstanding agency relationships strengthen our position in a key infrastructure market and enhance our ability to support public sector clients across the region. We’re excited to welcome the entire S2 team to Consertus.”

S2 has played key roles on several high-profile transportation projects, including the I-215 Realignment and Widening Project for SBCTA, formerly SANBAG, and the I-5 Corridor Improvement Project for LA Metro under Caltrans oversight.

“Since day one, our focus has been simple: deliver quality work, build strong partnerships and stand behind every project,” said Sagar Pandey, founder and principal engineer of S2 Engineering. “Joining Consertus allows us to offer our clients expanded resources and expertise while creating new opportunities for our employees. Just as importantly, it enables us to continue serving our agency partners with the same commitment and responsiveness that have defined S2 for more than two decades.”

S2 will continue operating from its Rancho Cucamonga headquarters and will maintain service to its existing clients as part of the Consertus team.

“California remains one of the most attractive long-term infrastructure markets in the country,” said Tony Brindisi, managing partner at RTC Partners. “S2’s deep technical expertise, proven execution and longstanding agency relationships make it an excellent addition to Consertus. This transaction reflects our commitment to supporting strategic acquisitions that expand capabilities, strengthen market presence and create long-term value.”
