Mitigram acquires trade intelligence platform eexpand

NEW YORK: Mitigram, a global digital platform for trade finance, announced Wenesday it has acquired Export Enterprises SA, the parent company of the trade intelligence platform eexpand.

The acquisition includes all of eexpand’s core assets, including its Trade Pilot, Trade Club Connect and Trade Resources Platform. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Paris, eexpand serves more than 50 financial institutions, including Lloyds Bank, Santander, Bank of China and Royal Bank of Canada, and supports a network of more than 700,000 registered businesses.

The deal builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. Mitigram said the acquisition reflects a shared belief that growth in trade finance is driven by growth in global trade. By combining eexpand’s trade intelligence with its own financing capabilities, Mitigram aims to help businesses identify opportunities, understand markets and access the support needed to expand internationally.

Eexpand’s platform sits at the beginning of the trade journey, helping businesses identify export markets and connect with potential partners using international trade data, market intelligence and AI-driven matchmaking. Banks and trade ecosystems use these tools through APIs and white-labeled engagement solutions to support customer growth across borders.

With the integration of Mitigram’s digital trade finance platform, companies will be able to move from discovering opportunities and understanding markets to securing financing and executing transactions. Financial institutions will gain a tool to grow their export trade finance business, with eexpand helping generate demand and Mitigram providing the transactional layer to complete deals.

“Through our existing relationship with eexpand, we have seen the value of its technology, data and customer relationships first-hand,” Mitigram CEO Joshua Kroeker said in a statement. “Eexpand has built a strong position in an area of international trade that is fundamental to trade growth: helping banks and businesses identify growth opportunities, understand markets and connect with the right counterparties.”

Kroeker said the company’s priority is continuity for customers and partners while integrating eexpand’s capabilities into Mitigram’s broader vision.

The combined capabilities aim to create a stronger link between trade growth and trade finance, allowing businesses to move seamlessly from identifying new market opportunities to securing financing, while banks can support customers from initial market exploration through completed transactions.

In 2025, Mitigram’s platform facilitated over $40 billion in transactions across more than 120 markets, supporting over 6,000 trade flows worldwide.

Mitigram is a digital platform for global trade finance execution, used by corporations and banks to streamline the communication, discovery and execution of trade finance instruments. The platform combines transaction data with real-time market insights.
