Samsung Galaxy A55: Everything you need to know about the upcoming mid-range phone
Samsung is preparing to unveil its next premium mid-range device, the Galaxy A55, which is expected to debut in March.
The Galaxy A55 will be the successor to the Galaxy A54, which was one of the best-selling phones of 2023. The A55 will aim to continue that legacy by offering some impressive features and specs, some of which have already been leaked online.

Design and display
The Galaxy A55 will likely sport a similar design to the Galaxy A54, with a plastic back, a metal frame, and a punch-hole display. The screen size and resolution are not confirmed yet, but we expect it to be around 6.5 inches and Full HD+.
The display will also support a high refresh rate, possibly 120Hz, which will make it smoother and more responsive than the standard 60Hz screens. The Galaxy A55 will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Battery and charging
One of the highlights of the Galaxy A55 will be its massive 5,000 mAh battery, which should provide enough juice for a full day of usage. The battery will also support 25W fast charging, which will allow it to go from 0 to 50% in around 30 minutes.
