Apple is gearing up for a busy year ahead, with a range of new products and updates across its major product lines. According to a report from Bloomberg, the tech giant will release new iMacs, iPads, MacBooks and Apple Watch models in the next 12 months, as well as its highly anticipated Vision Pro headset.
The report claims that Apple will launch two new 24-inch iMacs, and has also started working on a larger 30-inch iMac, which would be its biggest all-in-one screen size ever. The iPad Pro and iPad Air will also get upgrades, with the iPad Pro models finally getting OLED screens.
Apple will also introduce a new Apple Watch Ultra, along with two sizes of the Apple Watch 9, the report says. The Apple Watch Ultra will feature a more durable design and advanced health features.
The MacBook Pro line will get three new variants, with 13-, 14- and 16-inch models, all powered by Apple’s new M3 chipset. The M3 will not be used for the Vision Pro headset, however, which will use the current M2 processor instead. The Vision Pro headset is Apple’s first foray into virtual reality, and will cost $3,500. The headset will have two high-definition screens and custom processors to reduce latency.
The report also says that Apple will expand the availability of the Vision Pro headset to select developers next month, as it seeks to build up the VisionOS ecosystem. Apple is also working on two new versions of the headset, one high-end and one low-end, for the future.
Apple is expected to follow its usual fall launch schedule for the iPhone 15, but has not confirmed any of the other products or updates mentioned in the report.
