BERGEN, NORWAY: Bergen Carbon Solutions has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to develop a business relationship with a major Japanese company where the overall goal is to create, and bring to market a “ready to use” additive solution that can be used in the anode-graphite for lithium-ion based batteries globally.
The solution aims to increase conductivity and reduce resistance in battery anode materials utilizing green carbon nanofiber (CNF) from BCS.
“Together we are aiming to bring to market the worlds greenest and most efficient carbon nano-additive for graphite anodes, used in lithium batteries, especially for use in the automotive sector. The additive aims to give the battery-producers the possibility to further increase the range, charging speed and lifetime cycles of their batteries, where we at the same time are bringing down the CO2 emissions. This is a potential game changer in the market,” says CEO Jan B. Sagmo.
Bergen Carbon Solutions uses innovative technology to produce carbon nanofibers, using CO₂ and Norwegian hydropower. This makes the production unique and environmentally friendly. Bergen Carbon Solutions is listed on Euronext Growth under the ticker BCS. www.bergencarbonsolutions.no
